As long as you aren’t turning it off, it is fine. I have a very dv2000 and also I move it about all day long in sleep mode.

I move my vista laptop coming from one wireless network to another (or to a wired network) while it is in sleep or hibernation mode (it hibernates immediately after a while in sleep) and also it normally takes correct off when I open it up / power it up.
